Kirste's Wine Page 3

  Postscript

John Allin dedicates his story to Kirste Jane Gordon. Kirste was baptised on Sunday 22 December 1968 when St Francis Church at Port Noarlunga was housed in what Greg Gordon describes as 'a building of very meagre construction, but with a community very strong and supportive'.

Of his daughter, Greg said: "We liked the name and had come across the spelling as an alternative to Kirsty or Kirstie - the more usual forms. We chose this as it was more unique and individual for our little girl. Her second name, Jane, was chosen because it just seemed to flow on from Kirste. When Christine's grandmother, Agnes Jane, who was in her seventies, heard the name her response was: "Oh, they've named the baby after me!"'
